Our Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery Center is looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent bedside manner, the ability to multi-task, and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists surgeon/physician assistant/nurse practitioner to treat and manage patients by providing information, services, and clerical duties.
  • Checking patients in/out in timely manner, maintain patient flow, phone/email triage, rooming patients.
  • Prepare patients for exam, take vital signs, phlebotomy.
  • Assist with post-op patients, suture removal.
  • Confirm medications and drug allergies.
  • Communicate with patients regarding labs/pathology.
  • Prepare and clean procedure room for surgery, including sterilization of medical instruments before and after each procedure, autoclaving, stocking/organizing procedure room/exam rooms.
  • Enter patient exam data into EMR, secure patient information, HIPAA Compliance Call in prescriptions to pharmacy on behalf of surgeon/physician assistant/nurse practitioner.
  • Perform surgical and non-surgical cosmetic consultations, coordinate surgical schedule, assist with preops Mastering appointment scheduling, telephone/email triage, and discharge procedures.
  • Provide assistance with all stages of a visit – from explaining treatment options, to providing support throughout the patient’s surgical and non-surgical process and be able to discuss with patients confidently including their indications and risks/benefits
  • Precise and detail oriented with before and after photographs.
  • Provide detailed/accurate price quotes, including facility fees and anesthesia fees based on surgical time.
  • Generate quote and discuss surgery costs with patients at consultation and facilitate a commitment to proceed.
  • Schedule surgeries, pre-op and post-op appointments.
  • Responds to, monitors, and follows up on patient inquiries.
  • Routinely contacts potential patients as appropriate with the intent of generating additional patient encounters and encourages patients’ consideration of future services.
  • Discuss financing options with patients and assist in qualifying patient.
  • Assist out-of-town patients with travel arrangements when necessary.
  • Cross-sell skin care products and non-surgical procedures.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
  • Perform well in environment that values compassion, helpfulness, patience, and resourcefulness.

Education & Experience: Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program. Current license as a CMA in the State of Washington. Current BLS certification

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour Experience: Certified Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred) medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
