We are a highly reputable and well-established plastic surgery practice in Nashville searching for an experienced RN to enhance and strengthen our patient’s experience by providing exceptional customer service and care. The focus of this position will be to provide clinic support to ensure a smooth and efficient clinic flow of patients. Our ideal candidate must possess exceptional people skills, be technologically savvy, and a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Our clinic team is a key link between our patients and our surgeons.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. High school diploma and College Degree
  2. Five years of nursing experience required
  3. Two years of experience in Plastic Surgery (preferred)
  4. Must maintain RN licensure to retain position.

  10. Maintain Quality OSHA Controls/HIPAA compliant

General responsibilities:

  1. Primary Duties
  • Escorts patients to exam rooms in order of appointment times. Obtains short history and vital signs as required by patient’s chief complaint. Obtains, updates, and evaluates patient medical history and medications. Sets up exam room according to scheduled appointment or anticipate physicians needs if non-scheduled procedure is likely.
  • Assists physician with in-office surgical procedures such as hematoma evacuation, skin lesion/lipoma excision, ear lobe repairs, vaginal rejuvenation, etc.
  • Educates patient as required after physician establishes the surgical treatment plan. Ensures that the patient understands the treatment plan, understands the proper use of their medications, and understands their responsibility for compliance with the surgical treatment plan and risks of surgery prior to leaving the office.
  • Straightens and cleans exam rooms after patient visits.
  • Performs clinical procedures such as suture removal, dressing changes, wound care, drain removal, and staple removal (without direct physician supervision but physician oversight).
  • Completely and correctly fills out all surgical orders including required radiology tests (EKG, Mammogram) and laboratory orders, as directed by physicians.
  1. Secondary Duties
  • Triage patient phone calls and respond to patient emails in timely manner.
  • Contact pharmacy regarding medication orders.
  • Stocks all exam rooms.
  • Performs all duties related to medical instrument cleaning and sterilization.
  • Orders necessary medical and clinic office supplies needed to avoid shortages.
  • Unpack and restock any clinic supply orders.

HOURS: Monday – Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm (*Hours may vary depending on patient volume)
