With two world-renowned plastic surgeons and an extremely talented Nurse Practitioner, our Center offers the most cutting edge and advanced treatments available in cosmetic surgery. Our practice offers a full array of face, breast, and body aesthetic procedures. As we are continuing to grow at a rapid rate, we are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who is well versed in Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology to support our Nurse Practitioner.

The individual in this position must be experienced, display a professional attitude and a willingness to learn, and take ownership of every aspect of back office responsibilities. The individual assuming the position must be reliable, flexible, honest, and possesses a strong work ethic. In order to effectively execute this role, the individual must be highly organized, think critically, be detail-oriented, and takes initiative throughout the day. The individual is able to multi-task, has strong communication skills, is punctual, functions well under pressure, and anticipates the needs of the Providers. The individual handles challenging, and sometimes demanding patients skillfully, with a positive attitude.  The role is a fluid one, with the priority of duties changing throughout the day. Although there are core duties to be performed, it is impossible to outline with any specificity all of the responsibilities for the individual assuming this role.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in plastic surgery and/or cosmetic dermatology
  • Experience with of electronic medical records.
  • Knowledge of cosmetic injectables, skincare, and LASERs
  • Knowledge of sterilizing, handling and managing standard surgical instruments.
  • Well-versed with medical terminology to explain, record instructions for patients and record prescriptions in EMR.
  • Greet patients, prep, and room them.
  • Stock medical supplies and linen.
  • Maintain ongoing medical supply and skin care inventory.
  • Ensure that each treatment room/area is fully stocked at the end of every workday.
  • Maintain oversight of room and treatment areas for cleanliness.
  • Skill in setting priorities which reflect the importance of job responsibilities.
  • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Organizing workflow to accomplish established objectives.
  • Skilled in guiding the patient experience from start to finish.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff.
  • Ability to work as part of a team – collaborating with other staff members.
  • Fostering a stimulating, accepting learning environment.
  • Skill in speaking to persons of various backgrounds to explain policies, procedures, and treatments in the clinic.
  • Ability to speak using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and explain medical treatment procedures.
  • Skill in reading English words, simple sentences, and numbers on documents and instruction sheets
  • Skill in writing grammatically correct routine correspondence
  • Ability to think outside of the box
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to push, pull or carry 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Experience working in plastic surgery
  • Experience working in cosmetic dermatology

Shift & Schedules:

Monday-Wednesday, Friday: 9am – 5pm

Thursday- 10am – 6pm
