We are currently seeking a part-time, certified Medical Assistant and/or Esthetician experienced with cosmetic and general dermatology. Our ideal candidate is one who exhibits poise, professionalism, has excellent communication skills, and a passion for medical and cosmetic dermatology. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn new and upcoming cosmetic procedures and educate patients regarding each procedure.

Description: Physician-operated aesthetic center searching for medical assistant and esthetician skills preferred. Advanced training in skin care and treatments required. Experience with Intense Pulse Light laser, Diode Laser Hair Removal, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels required. Radiofrequency (Inmode Platform), HydraFacial, SkinPen, and Fraxel experience preferred. Additional training will be provided.

Work Experience:

  • At least two years of cosmetic/dermatology medical office/spa experience.
  • EMR (Nextech) experience preferred.
  • For this position, the successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator and team player, be well organized, detail-oriented, and possess sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills:

  • Must have 1 year experience as an Aesthetician in Cosmetic Medicine or Medical Assistant Certification
  • Knowledge of general medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures (neurotoxin and filler)
  • EMR experience is a MUST
  • Retail sales experience, skincare knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Proven track record demonstrating:

  • Excellent patient service and interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral)
  • Well organized
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA and HIPAA compliance
  • Computer proficiency
  • Patient charting (i.e., scribing patient history, doctor’s diagnosis description and treatment plans, including prescriptions and patient instructions into patient chart, in detail)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology/abbreviations, including dermatology
  • Assisting physician with procedures and cosmetic treatments

Job Duties:

  • Patient charting
  • Returning patient calls
  • Entering patient demographics into practice management system
  • Manage patient charts for path & labs, prescriptions, diagnosis, medical records, patient correspondence
  • Assist physician with cosmetic treatments, procedures, and general visits
  • Provide cosmetic consultations
  • Other duties as required

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • Medical Assisting in Dermatology: 1 year
  • Esthetician: 1 year

Required license or certification:

  • MA or Esthetician

Job Location: Frisco, Texas

Job Status: Full time. Must be available Saturdays.

Job Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:30pm

Tuesday: 10:30am – 8:30pm

Friday: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
