We are looking to hire an exceptional Practice Manager for our expanding Plastic Surgery Practice and Ambulatory Surgery Center in the North Seattle area. The Practice Manager must be capable of managing the efficiency and flow of our team, accounts receivable, recruitment and hiring, scheduling, and must have a desire to learn about the services we offer (both surgical and non-surgical) to best consult and direct new and existing patients. The manager will report directly to the surgeons while interfacing with the nurse manager, ambulatory surgery center director, and surgeons to ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and maximum efficiency. This person may assist, train, and/or support our Patient Care Coordinator and front staff as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Two to three years of experience in practice management, Plastics preferred
  • Experience with email and Internet applications
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
  • Understanding of EOBs, insurance processing requirements, and reimbursements
  • An understanding of the accounts receivable process
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
  • Neat, professional appearance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain an office environment that ensures optimal patient care and customer service
  • Oversee and supervise front and back-office staff
  • Evaluate and review office production and procedures to develop new ways to improve efficiency with office operations, patient retention, and profitability
  • Analyze and organize office operations and procedures
  • Develop and implement office budgets and manage the procurement of general office supplies and equipment
  • Recruitment, retention, and termination if necessary of front and back-office support staff
  • Encompass the role of HR to assess, investigate and resolve employee issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal laws, ensure a safe work environment by complying with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations and laws, ensure compliance with office and company policies and procedures
  • Execute all strategic plans set forth by the owners to continue to expand and grow the practice
  • Direct the maintenance of surgeon’s & staff’s hospital privileges, licensure, malpractice insurance, and CME
  • Tracks practice revenue and reports directly to surgeons
  • Appropriately discuss cosmetic consultations, cosmetic procedures, and skincare services with prospective patients over the phone and encourage them to schedule an appointment when needed
  • Review daily reports from practice management system and accurately completes the daily close
  • Oversee the billing, receivables, and reimbursement operations
  • Analyze and present accounts receivable reports to the surgeon quarterly
